Em mais um dos seus golpes, ele levantou suspeitas e acabou preso. Suas armas, além do papo, eram um martelo e uma fita isolante.
O homem já é procurado em São Paulo e no Rio de Janeiro, cidades nas quais, provavelmente, utilizasse a mesma forma de ação para roubar os carros importados. A polícia suspeita que os veículos eram encomendados por uma quadrilha da Bolívia. O dinheiro pago teria como destino o narcotráfico.
